China manganese sulphate market hobbles as government tightens regulation

Prices of manganese sulphate in China fell slightly with feed-grade products staying at RMB3.5/kg - RMB3.9/kg (US$0.57/kg - US$0.64/kg).

The Chinese government has further tightened the regulation regarding the production of manganese alloy, in an effort to curb the pollution associated with the heavy metal. Several manganese sulphate enterprises in Guangxi and Hunan have already halted operation.
