The Commerce Ministry has anticipated prices to drop sharply following the start of the corn harvest season this month due to an expected bumper harvest. Thai corn output this year is estimated by the US Department of Agriculture to be around 4.5 million tonnes, 200,000 tonnes more than last year's.
