Analysts say Brazil should produce 63.3 million tonnes of soy in 2007/08 crop
Brazil should produce 63.3 million tonnes of soybeans in the new 2007/08 crop, to be planted in late September and October, agribusiness consultancy AgRural said Tuesday (July 24).
Brazil harvested 59.3 million tonnes in the 2006/07 crop.
AgRural based its calculation on 2006/07 yields of 2,782 kilograms per hectare and planted area of 22.76 million hectares.
Brazil is the No. 2 soy producer behind the US.
