German minister visits food processor BAADER

Germany's Federal Minister of Economy, Mr. Sigmar Gabriel, visited BAADER in Lübeck in June.

BAADER is the leading supplier of fish processing plants and holds a world market share of 80%.

After a company tour of the BAADER museum and the production area, Mr. Gabriel was convinced by the performance ability of a herring processing line, which can process up to 400 fish in seven minutes.

He was also impressed by conversations with the employees.

He commented, "The company BAADER is a good example why the 'Made in Germany' brand of special machine engineering enjoys an excellent reputation – not only in Germany but also worldwide. It is obvious that for sustainable quality management, specialised personnel and good training concepts on-site are indispensable. I welcome the company's commitment to the special industrial training."

Mr. Gabriel also witnessed the successful implementation of the first Industry 4.0 Projects of BAADER's process chain: the customer receives the goods through the unbroken traceability and product control through inter-machine-communication, cross-platform visualisation and reporting.

Since 1919 the family-owned company has positioned itself worldwide as a supplier of machinery and plants in the food industry. Subsidiaries, distributors, agents and service stations are located at more than 70 locations worldwide.

BAADER is also an international top seller in the poultry industry.

BAADER's product lines today encompass five food domains. Besides fish, meat, fruit/vegetable and unpacking, BAADER also invests in the promising market of poultry processing machinery and plants.
