Methionine prices slashed amid tough competition in China
Prices of methionine fell substantially during the week ending July 23.
Competition in the methionine market was strong as China's local producer priced its products substantially below imported ones.
Price quotes of imported dl-methionine were lower in the range of RMB26.50-27/kg.
China's methionine prices will likely fall further as sellers compete for sales in a market with weak demand.
