Vietnam's H1 shrimp exports to US up 18 percent
Vietnam exported 15,191 tonnes of shrimp products to the US in the first half of this year, up 18.3 percent, the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters & Producers, or Vasep, said Thursday (July 23).
The value of the exports reached US$147.3 million, up 2.1 percent, Vasep said on its Web site.
It said the country's exports of shrimp products to the European Union also rose 65 percent to 3,728 tonnes in the January-June period.
Vietnam's total exports of shrimp products rose 1.8 percent to 72,288 tonnes in the first half, it said.
