South Korea's KFA seeks 55,000 tonnes of soymeal in tender
The Korea Feed Association, or KFA, is seeking 55,000 tonnes of Indian or South America-origin soymeal in a tender to be concluded on Tuesday (25 Jul), an association official said.
The shipment is expected to reach Inchon between Jan 5 and Feb 10 next year. The Korea Feed Association bought 55,000 tonnes of US-origin feed corn in private negotiations with Cargill, a trader in Seoul said.
Cargill would supply the corn at US$154.99/tonne, and it will arrive at Inchon on Oct 10.
In other news, South Korea's Nonghyup Feed Inc., or NOFI, is seeking 105,000 tonnes of feed wheat and 165,000 tonnes of feed corn, both optional-origin, in a tender to be concluded later Monday, a trader in Seoul said.
The feed corn is expected to arrive in South Korea in three panamax-sized cargoes on Oct 5, Oct. 10 and Oct 20, while the feed wheat is expected to arrive in two panamax-sized cargoes on Nov 25 and Jan 10.
