China’s meat consumption continues to grow strongly but its supply-side fundamentals are constrained and Southeast Asia has never looked more dynamic

Although Asia Pacific continues to host the world’s largest, fastest growing agribusiness markets, both the characteristics and geographic momentum of that growth are shifting. China remains the world’s largest livestock market but its supply-side expansion has clearly decelerated. Our survey finds that while China remains the world’s most important market, agribusiness growth momentum has squarely shifted towards Southeast Asia.
