Bangladeshi frozen food exports gain almost US$0.5 billion

 
 

Bangladesh recently concluded FY 09-10 (July 2009-June 2010) with nearly half a billion US dollars from frozen food exports, official data showed Thursday (July 22).

 

The country's frozen foods exports fell 2.06% to 445.18 million US dollars in the 2009-10 fiscal year as compared on-year (July 2008-June 2009), according to Bangladesh's Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) data.

 

Out of US$445.18 million, the EPB data showed US$348.28 million came from shrimp exports in the last fiscal year.

 

Bangladesh gained US$454 million from export of frozen foods in the last 2008-09 fiscal year (July 2008-June 2009) against US$534.07 million in previous 2007-08 fiscal year (July 2007-June 2008).
