South Korea holds half of domestic beef market

South Korea's share of its domestic beef market has recovered to 50 percent for the first time since imports were allowed in, according to the agriculture minister.

The figure is the highest since 2000 when the market share of Korean beef reached 52 percent.

The agriculture minister attributed the increase to high beef quality from select breeding and to rising consumer confidence in beef labelling.
