Indonesia's Q1 shrimp exports up 6.05 percent
Indonesian exports of shrimp rose 6.05 percent in the first quarter of this year from the same period last year on market expansion amid low prices.
Exports in the first three months of this year reached 42.43 million kilograms, up from 30.013 million kilograms in the same period last year, according to fishery and maritime ministry spokesman Soen'an H. Poernomo.
Soen'an said the export value rose 0.31 percent to US$267.79 million from US$266.96 million.
Soen'an said Russia had become one of the export destination countries for Indonesian fish products including shrimps.
