Poultry production rises in Venezuela and Panama
Production of poultry meat in Venezuela have risen 15 percent so far this year, reaching 900,000 tonnes.
However, there remains a deficit of 8 percent in the domestic market.
Venezuela has seen a strong increase in poultry and egg consumption in recent years. Current consumption is 202 eggs per year per person and 42 kg per year per person for poultry.
Meanwhile, Panama's poultry production for the first half of the year rose 9.6 percent compared to the same period the year before, according to the Panamanian association Asociacion Nacional de Avicultores de Panama.
