A meat processing factory in UK's South Kirkby which employs 100 people is up for sale.
Employees at Yorkshire Premier Meats at Langthwaite Grange Industrial Estate were told at a meeting Thursday (July 19) a buyer was sought for the plant.
The site, which prepares meat for the ready meals industry, has been put up for sale by owner ANM Group.
A buyer is also sought for the company's Scottish Premier Meats plant north of the border.
An employee who asked not to be named said: "They said they are trying to sell it as a going concern but we're all worried. I've been here for a long time and there are a lot of panicked people."
ANM Group said it would be business as usual at the plant until a buyer came forward.
A spokesman said, "Interest has been shown and we are awaiting further developments."
The company closed its Sheffield processing plant earlier this year with the loss of 59 jobs.
