Sri Lankan government to control chicken prices
The government of Sri Lanka will control the price of chicken if it is sold exceeding the suggested prices, said Co-operative and Internal Trade Minister Johnston Fernando.
The minister said imported chicken will be made available in the market through Lak Sathosa and Co-op Food cities if the chicken prices increased or if suppliers are unable to supply the required quantity.
The minister also said that the government heeded a request by producers not to import chicken.
