China June wheat imports jump on-month to 192,905 tonnes
                       


China imported 192,905 tonnes of wheat in June, Reuters reported Tuesday (July 21), citing customs data due to be issued Wednesday.

 

The imports were more than double of 70,968 tonnes imported in May. China didn't t import any wheat in June 2008.

 

Soyoil imports last month were at 250,000 tonnes, while palm oil imports reached 450,000 tonnes, said Reuters, up 48 percent and 34 percent on year respectively.

 

Rapeseed oil imports reached 33,249 tonnes in June, it added, without providing a comparative figure for the previous year.

 

Meanwhile, sugar imports in June were 90,000 tonnes, according to Reuters data, falling 36 percent on year.
