Belarus sees grain production at 10 million tonnes
Belarus hopes to harvest 10 million tonnes of grain in 2010, said Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko during his visit to the Gomel Region on July 16.
He also hoped a million tonnes of corn would be harvested.
The total grain output would be sufficient for the medium term, the president said, adding that there were no plans to export grain, but to feed cattle and export meat and dairy products.
The country expects revenues from produce exports at US$3 billion this year and between US$5 billion and US$7 billion in the next five years.
