POET, Perdue AgriBusiness form partnership
Perdue AgriBusiness and POET have formed a new partnership to promote and represent POET's Dakota Gold BPX premium distillers grains product line in domestic and international feed markets.
The partnership will advance POET Nutrition's eastern US and international market growth. Perdue AgriBusiness will be POET's sales agent in the Mid-Atlantic region and one of its representatives in international markets. Perdue AgriBusiness will handle POET's domestic sales through its extensive agricultural network and execute international sales through its export terminal in Virginia.
Dick Willey, President of Perdue AgriBusiness, said, "Working with POET supports our growth strategy to expand our involvement with renewable fuels.''
POET's exclusive BPX technology, which eliminates the "cooking" process from ethanol production, provides a unique, high quality DDGS (Dakota Gold BPX).
Perdue AgriBusiness is a wholly owned subsidiary of Perdue Incorporated. A leading merchandiser, processor and exporter of agriculture products, the company has 40 elevator locations with more than 60 million bushels of storage, four transload facilities, three protein blend mills, three soy crushing operations, an edible oil refinery and two rendering facilities.
POET, the largest ethanol producer in the US, is a leader in biorefining and produces more than 1.54 billion gallons of ethanol annually from 26 production facilities nationwide. Through POET Nutrition, POET offers over four million tonnes of Dakota Gold branded products to customers worldwide.
