US FDA to inspect Vietnamese seafood processors for quality

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) would visit and conduct inspections at nine seafood processing businesses in Vietnam from July 19-29.

The purpose of the yearly visit was to ensure hygiene and safety applications of the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) systems in seafood businesses that exported their products to the US.

The Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers would also organise training courses in four key locations to help businesses apply the HACCP system.
