USB and ASA establish new US Soybean Export Council in contract
The United Soybean Board (USB) and American Soybean Association (ASA) have established a new United States Soybean Export Council (USSEC) in a contractual agreement.
The USSEC would establish a unified and coordinated marketing programme to support demand and brand image for US soybeans and products worldwide.
Soybean farmer-leaders would also continue to build domestic and international support in customer preference for US soybeans and soy-based feed. Top funding priorities included increased use of soy biodiesel and research, and commercialisation of new uses of soybeans.
In addition, funding was approved to promote the plantings of soybeans with higher oil and protein content, as part of efforts to produce higher quality US soybeans for customers worldwide.
