Jordan's Trade Ministry May Tender For Hard Wheat In 2 Weeks
Jordan's Trade and Industry Ministry said Monday it was mulling over the possibility of issuing an optional origin hard wheat tender, but would take the final decision in two weeks after reevaluating its stocks.
"We'll know in two weeks and then we may need to tender again," an importing official at the ministry stated.
The official also confirmed reports by European traders last week that the ministry purchased 100,000 metric tons of optional origin hard wheat at $173.50/ton cost and freight in its last tender.
The shipment period for the two 50,000-ton cargoes was for the first half of August and first half of September and not second-half September and second-half October shipment as previously reported.
