Myronivskyi Khliboprodukt's chicken sales increase in Q2

 

 

From April-June 2011, one of the biggest Ukrainian poultry meat producers, Myronivskyi Khliboprodukt, sees its chicken meat sale rose by 14% or 12,300 tonnes to 97,800 tonnes, in contrast to the same period last year.

 

Average prices for chicken in the first quarter were UAH13.97/kg (US$1.75) (less VAT) and in the first quarter of 2010, the price was UAH13.86/kg (US$1.74) (less VAT).

 

In H1, 2011, the sales of poultry meet rose by 8% or 13,600 tonnes to 182,100 tonnes, compared to similar period of 2010.

 

The prices for chicken in that period rose by 2%, compared to H1, 2010.

 

The company noted that the growth of prices was achieved thanks to more efficient use of potential.

 

Besides, the demand for chicken in H1, 2011, remained high and the company managed to sell almost 100% of products.

 

According to the report, the expanses for production of poultry meet in H1 grew due to the increase in market prices for grain.

 

Myronivskyi Khliboprodukt is a vertically integrated complex of enterprises that produce poultry meat, incubation eggs and fodder, and breed livestock for processing.

 

The company produces poultry meat under the Nasha Riaba trademark, semi-finished meat products under the Lehko trademark, sausages and smoked meat products under the Druzhba Narodiv, Baschynskyi and Europroduct trademarks, beef delicacy under the Certified Angus trademark, and goose liver delicacy under the Foie Gras trademark.

 

Company's board chairman Yurii Kosiuk holds 65% of the shares in Myronivskyi Khliboprodukt, the remaining shares are in free circulation on the London Stock Exchange.
