Alltech appoints new technical manager for mycotoxin management team

Animal health and nutrition company, Alltech, has appointed Tugrul Durali as the Asia-Pacific technical manager for the company's mycotoxin management team.

Based in Sydney, Australia, Durali will provide technical support to local and regional accounts, focusing on Alltech's On-Farm programme.

Durali started his career as an intern focusing on aflatoxicosis in layer hens, at one of the biggest egg and poultry meat producers in Turkey. After graduating as a veterinarian lieutenant from the Turkish Armed Force's Army Veterinarian College, he received training on turkey breeder health, management and artificial insemination from a top Israeli company which specialised in poultry breeder field in the Middle East.

Durali was previously a poultry veterinarian at Banvit A.S. and Novakim A.S. before joining poultry producer, Red Lea Chickens, as the company's technical services manager based in Australia. In addition of setting up research trials for the improvement of poultry welfare with nutrition and antibiotic-free production, he also helped to establish Red Lea Chickens' free range broiler production.

Alltech's mycotoxin management programme was launched in early 2012 to help producers control mycotoxins in chains, through a combination of management programmes and technologies. The programme also assists in detecting and addressing risks caused by more than 37 types of mycotoxins.
