Aviagen appoints new technical manager for Asian team

Poultry breeding company, Aviagen, has appointed Michael Chau as technical service manager for its Asian technical team.

Chau joined Aviagen in January 2007 and worked with the export group where he was export coordinator for over three years before moving to great grandparent and grandparent production as part of his training programme.

A year later, Michael is made farm manager for Aviagen India where he manages a broiler trial farm facility.  He went on to join Aviagen Australia and worked in a hatchery before assuming the role of quality control manager, focusing on day old chick quality, day of age vaccination procedures, line security, grading and hatchery environmental control. 

In January 2014, Chau was transferred to a grandparent production facility in Griffith, New South Wale, Australia, before joining a local technical service team.
