MHP chicken meat sales up six percent in H1
MHP, an agro-industrial company, said its volume of chicken meat sales increased by six percent in the first half of the year, driven by the launch of production at its Myronivka plant.
In the first half of the year, volumes reached 116,300 tonnes. Demand for chicken meat during that period remained high, as consumers continue to substitute other meats with domestically-produced chicken, the company said.
As a result, MHP was able to sell close to 100 percent of the chicken produced, the company said.
Sausage and cooked meat production volumes increased by 103 percent in the first half of the year. Sales have been boosted by the acquisition of Ukrainian Bacon in July 2008.
