China sulphate additives markets on weak trends

Cupric sulphate

Weak copper prices held cupric sulphate prices down in conjunction with slack demand.

As feed millers tread cautiously while the outlook of the livestock market remains bleak, the demand for cupric sulphate is unlikely to firm up on the near term.

Zinc sulphate

Although export demand improved of late, domestic sales of zinc sulphate remained weak, prompting producers to reduce prices.

Zinc sulphate supplies are seen abundant with raw ingredients plentiful, keeping prices low in conjunction with lacklustre demand.

Manganese sulphate

Even though prices of manganese ore stabilised of late, producers of manganese sulphate continued to lower prices while feed demand fell below expectation.

As of July 12, ex-factory price quotes of manganese sulphate dipped to the range of RMB3,700-3,900/tonnes.

Manganese sulphate producers will keep prices low while raw ingredients prices stay weak.

Ferrous sulphate

Ferrous sulphate prices stayed flat after the recent slide. Even as supplies reduced in tandem with lower output of titanium dioxide, ferrous sulphate sellers were unable to lift prices while demand remained soft.

Meanwhile, traders concluded deals in the general market were unchanged at RMB600-750/tonne.

Weak trends will likely prevail in the ferrous sulphate market amid poor demand.
