Ukraine sees grain exports at 18 million tonnes
Agrarian Vice Prime Minister Viktor Slauta expects Ukraine to export 18 million tonnes of grain and leguminous plants in the 2010/2011 marketing year (July 2010 - June 2011).
"Export has been delayed for approximately one month. I think it will be 18 million tonnes," he said to the press.
According to him, the corn exports will grow this marketing year while the exports of wheat may fall.
Based on earlier media report, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy in late June revised downward its forecast concerning the exports of grain and leguminous plants in the 2010/2011 marketing year (July 2010-June 2011) by 4.5-1.5% or by 1-3 million tonnes to 21 million tonnes.
