China holds 2010 corn, soy output estimates

China National Grain and Oils Information Centre (CNGOIC) said Wednesday (Jul 14) in its July report that it has kept the forecast for China's 2010 corn and soy output unchanged compared with the June report.

Corn and wheat production for this year has been forecast at 168 million tonnes and 115.1 million tonnes respectively, while soy output is estimated at 14.5 million tonnes.

However, the think-tank cut its forecast for rice output by 700,000 tonnes to reach 196.64 million tonnes.
