Ayurvet has launched two new herbal products - "AYUCEE" and "AYUFYTASE-5000" - which could help to improve poultry health and performance.

AYUCEE is a combination of herbs that could counter the deleterious effects of heat stress, enhance stress threshold and livability as well as maintaining fertility, hatchability and immunity.
 
AYUCEE contains a polyherbal formulation of natural Vitamin C complex + bioflavonoids which are reputed for their antioxidant and free radical scavenging activities. The product also contains other herbal ingredients known for their anti-stress, immunomodulatory, adaptogenic properties.
 

Heat stress reduces feed intake, live weight gain, egg production and feed efficiency in poultry. Heat stress also causes the release of corticosterone and catecholamines and initiates lipid peroxidation in cell membranes.

The Department of Physiology, College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences conducted a research of comparative efficacy of AYUCEE supplementation with other marketed products in broilers. Results showed that AYUCEE supplemented group showed better antioxidant enzymes and immunological profile along with equal body weight at six weeks in experiment conducted in the broilers. This indicates that Synthetic vitamin C can be replaced successfully with AYUCEE without affecting the growth along with better antioxidant effect and immunity.

Ayufytase-5000 is a combination of phytase and synergistic herbs that breaks phytate bonds to release phytate phosphorus. The herbs in Ayufytase-5000 will also help to improve the absorption and utilisation of released phosphorus, which will reduce the amount of phosphorus entering the environment.

Ayufytase-5000 have phytase that gives better phytase activity and good heat endurance during pelleting of the feed. The Ayufytase-5000 phytase also shows two peak pH values, meaning it works in wide range of pH and will work better in the alimentary canal than any other phytase.

The product reduces the need of inorganic phosphorus supplementation in the feed, therefore reducing cost of feed formulation and saves space in feed without affecting performance.

A 100g of Ayufytase-5000 in one tonne of feed for broilers and breeders, and 80g per tonne of feed for layers, is sufficient to replace 8-10kg of DCP per tonne of feed or to reduce the total phosphorus level by 0.12-0.14 percen in broiler, breeder or layer diet.
