Slack demand drags down China methionine prices
Prices of methionine continued to fall during the week ending July 13.
Demand for methionine stayed weak as buyers were reluctant to increase stockpile. Although the broiler markets remained upbeat, egg prices stayed low despite the recent rebound.
Price quotes for locally produced methionine were in the range of RMB40-40.50/kg.
Methionine prices should move lower in the coming week.
