Punjab partners with university to promote aquaculture research

 
 

Fisheries Department Punjab and University of Veterinary and Animal Science (UVAS) have entered into a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to promote fisheries and aquaculture in the province.

 

According to handout issued on Tuesday (Jul 13), the main purpose of this bonding is to establish collaboration in order to promote activities for research in the field of fisheries and aquaculture, and research laboratories and libraries of both parties will be accessible to each other.

 

Director General Fisheries Dr. Muhammad Ayub said Department of Fisheries and UVAS would jointly initiate one year diploma course and Department of Fisheries would send students or department employees for seeking higher education leading M.Phil and Ph.D to UVAS.

 

He added that both parties shell endeavor to meet all formalities in connection with the preparation, negotiation and implementation of activities within the framework of this memorandum and shall maintain close contact.
