Russia may export up to 50 million tonnes of grain in 10 years
Russia will be able to export up to 50 million tonnes of grain per year within 10 years with the successful development of its agricultural sector, according to Russian President Dmitry Medvedev on Friday (Jul 10).
Russia expects to export about 21 million tonnes of grain in the 2008-09 agricultural year, Agriculture Minister Yelena Skrynnik said earlier.
In the 2007-2008 agricultural year, Russia exported about 13 million tonnes of grain.
