DSM Nutritional Products enters Tatarstan

DSM Nutritional Products Ltd. Has signed a Letter of Intent with Tatenergo JSC and the government of the Republic of Tatarstan for the construction of a micronutrient premix plant for animal nutrition there and the establishment of a joint venture.

DSM Nutritional Products will use its latest technology and experience in the industry, while Tatenergo and the government will provide their maximum support to the project.

Rustam Minnikhanov, Prime Minister of Tatarstan, sees this project as an important step towards reaching self-efficiency in animal feed production for Russia.

Ilshat Fardiev, CEO of Tatenergo JSC, said they hope this is a first step for a deep and long-lasting partnership with DSM.

Leendert Staal, CEO and President of DSM Nutritional Products added that this is an important step towards the aim of growing their business in Russia.

The Republic of Tatarstan is a federal subject of Russia.
