Taiwan's MFIG buys 60,000 tonnes of US corn
Taiwan's Members Feed Industry Group, or MFIG, has bought 60,000 tonnes of US-origin corn from trading house Agrex in a tender concluded Thursday (Jul 13), a group official said.
Agrex would supply 11,610 tonnes of corn at US$159.88/tonne, while 48,390 tonnes of corn would be supplied at a premium of US$1.46/bushel above the September contract traded on the Chicago Board of Trade.
The shipment is to arrive in Taiwan Aug 20-Sep 3 if shipped from the US Gulf or Sep 5-18 if shipped from the Pacific Northwest.
