China's 2012 rapeseed yield seen at 12.2 million tonnes

The 2012 rapeseed crop of China may reach 12.2 million tonnes, 9.1% lower from last year and also below the 12.8 million tonnes forecast in June, the state-backed China National Grain and Oils Information Center (CNGOIC) said Wednesday (July 11).

CNGOIC maintained its output forecasts for wheat, rice, corn and soy in its report on 2012 grain production.

China has finished harvesting rapeseed.
