Rusagro to build pork production farm in Russia's Tambov region

A decision to build the eighth pork production farm in Russia's Tambov region has been announced by Rusagro Group of Companies.

In July 2012 the Company made a decision to increase the capacity to 16,200 tonnes of our existing Tambov Bacon project. At the moment, there is a development of project documentation and selection of a contractor. Completion of the project documentation and the beginning of construction are planned for fourth quarter of 2012.

Previously Tambov Bacon has envisaged the construction of seven farms in the Tambov region with the production capacity of 115,000 tonnes of meat per year and 290,000 tonnes of feed. The complex construction is on schedule and the first farm has been completed and packed with the animals. It is expected to reach the full capacity by 2014.
