Indian state government to provide fish farming subsidy
The Bihar government of India will provide 40% subsidy to those interested in digging ponds for fish farming, state Fisheries Minister Giriraj Singh said today, July 12.
Bihar government will provide 40% subsidy to those interested in digging ponds for fish farming, Minister Singh added.
This would help bridge the gap between demand and supply of about two lakh tonnes and increase the yield from three lakh tonnes at present to nine lakh tonnes in the next five years, he said at a function here.
The state government has set a target of 500 new ponds in the size of one hectare each, he added.
