Henan Zhiyuan's pork processing plant comes online

Henan Zhiyuan Food Company's cooked food production line in Henan province, a Sino-American breeding joint venture, came online last week.

The facility is capable of producing 50,000 tonnes of cooked food a year.

Zhiyuan Food signed a cooperation agreement with a major US pig slaughtering and processing company in May. The joint venture would be engaged in pig slaughtering and processing, breeding and feedstuff processing, with US$50 million invested in the project over the next five years.
