Ukraine's grain corporation accepts 2.6 million tonnes grain for storage

 

 

About 2.634 million tonnes of grain crops in the 2011-12 marketing year (July 2011-June 2012) have been accepted by the State Food and Grain Corporation of Ukraine for storage, according to the Corporation's press service.

 

"About 2.634 million tonnes of grain over the 2011-12 marketing year, by 1.167 million tonnes more than in 2010-11 marketing year," it said.

 

Ten of the Corporation's affiliates received most of others grain: Roivka grain elevator (Donetsk region), Hrebinka grain elevator and Lubny seed-processing factory (Poltava region), Izium combine of milled and hulled products, Kharkiv combine milled and hulled products No.two, Savinske and Sakhnovschyna grain elevators (Kharkiv region), Shpola grain elevators (Cherkasy region), Ichnia cereal receiving station and Bread Base No.83 (Chernihiv region).

 

The Corporation is already accepting for storage the new harvest grain crops.

 

By July 9 the Corporation had stocked some 50,000 tonnes of grain harvested in 2012. As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the State Food and Grain Corporation ended the January-March quarter of 2012 with a net profit of UAH34.15 million (US$4.2 million), its net revenue up 1.3-fold or by UAH79.049 million (US$9.8 million) to UAH589.84 million (US$73 million).

 

Combined operating capacitance of the Corporation's 44 subdivision-affiliates is 3,461,000 tonnes, including aggregate annual trans-shipment capacities of the Odesa and Mykolaiv seaports of 2,380,000 tonnes of grain cargoes.
