Raw pork prices hit record highs in China's Heilongjiang

Heilongjiang Province's sales price of raw pork have increased to record highs as nearby Beijing and Shandong increased pork purchases from the province.

The pork price increase is not limited to the province however, a pork shortage in China has also boosted prices in Beijing and Guangdong to record highs recently.

Sale price of raw pork exceeded RMB13/kg in the province's large-sized pig breeding counties.

The province sells raw pork mainly to 6 provinces in northern and central China, as well as Beijing and Shanghai Municipalities and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

The province exports 300,000 live pigs every day to other provinces.
