More Vietnamese companies gain approval to export seafood to EU

38 more seafood companies have been allowed to export products to the EU market, starting from Jul 1, 2006, the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP) announced, bring the total number of Vietnamese companies allowed to export seafood to the EU to 209.

The EU has applied an inspection law for all its 25 member states instead of having inspections done separately by each member, according to Nguyen Tu Cuong, head of the National Fisheries Quality Assurance and Veterinary Directorate (NAFIQAVED).
