20 more Vietnamese seafood processors enter the EU market
 

 

The EC has given the nod to 20 more Vietnamese seafood processors to export their products into the EU, the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Processors reported.

 

This decision was reached after a 12-day investigation of food safety and hygiene conditions by a group of EC inspectors at local seafood processing and rearing facilities in late April.

 

Among the newly qualified seafood exporters, four companies are from the southern Ba Ria-Vung Tau province, two from Ho Chi Minh City, with one each from the central Khanh Hoa and Quang Binh provinces, and another one from the south-western Tay Nam Bo region.

 

Some 171 Vietnamese seafood enterprises have been permitted to export their products into the EU market so far.
