Ukraine's grain export likely to be on long-term basis
The Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said during a working visit to Zhytomyr region that export supplies of grain should occur on a sustained basis which will provide farmers with a stable domestic order.
"We have to promote, so that our farmers can meet the domestic demand and send the remains of grain for export," - said Prime Minister during the familiarisation with the work of Ukraine private company in the Vodotii village of Brusyliv district.
According to Mykola Azarov, the exports should be carried on long-term basis, "And we will have a stable order for 10-15 years."
During Azarov's stay in the Ukraine Company he inspected the field with grain crops, particularly rapeseed, as well acquainted with the preparation of agricultural equipment for harvesting crops and with elevator facilities of the enterprise.
The Prime Minister drew attention to the need of establishing of rural cooperatives, along with private companies. He also emphasised the long-term plans of the state in development of rural production. "People need to be clearly explained on our long-term course. This is not a one-time infusion, it will be for 10 years until we have not achieved a high enough level of development", - Mykola Azarov said, commenting on measures to increase the number of livestock. He said that these funds should work on the revival of rural areas.
In addition, during the talks Prime Minister drew attention to the need of developing the domestic mechanical engineering in the context of the meeting of needs of agricultural machinery's manufacturers, particularly for corn harvesting.
