Ecuador vaccinates three million cattle against FMD
Over three million cattle have been vaccinated for foot-and-mouth-diseases (FMD) by Ecuador's Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock.
This completes the first phase of a vaccination programme supported by the Ministry to eradicate FMD in Ecuador.
The first phase was undertaken between the May 28 and July 1. The second phase will see more cattle vaccinated, and it is hoped it will be completed by July 11.
