Updated USDA feed grains database

The US Department of Agriculture on Monday released its latest statistics on global feed grains, updated to July 7.

Available in the online database of the USDA's Economic Research Service, the statistics include the following:

-      The department's hallmark yearbook tables for feed grain prices, and US and foreign supplies and usage;

-      Feed grain data which include corn, sorghum, barley and oats; for area planted, harvested, production,

yield and prices;

-      Feed-price ratio for livestock, poultry and milk;

-      Average prices at principal markets and wholesale prices;

-      Information on by-product feed, processed feed, brewers' and distillers' dregs.

The database also includes a custom queries section where users can select the type of data, commodity, period (e.g., monthly, yearly), and location to build their own custom table for US feed grains data.
