Soy imports in China may reach five million tonnes in July, according to an estimate by the China National Grain and Oils Information Center (CNGOIC) on Thursday (Jul 8).

It forecasts 4.5 million tonnes of soy imports for August and four million tonnes for September.

For the period from October 2009 to September 2010, China's soy imports may reach 48.73 million to 49.73 million tonnes, the CNGOIC said.
