Jansen Poultry Equipment launches new single manure belt system

Press Release

Jansen Poultry Equipment has developed the single manure belt system (SMB) to make the cleaning of poultry houses easier.

It is not easy to clean under the belts with traditional manure belts, especially in houses where cleanliness is very important, such as broiler breeding and rearing houses.

The manure belt of the SMB system can be rolled up at one end which is not possible with traditional manure belts. Once the manure belt is rolled up, it is very easy to clean the surface which was previously hidden by the manure belt.

The SMB is installed under the slatted floor and can be rolled around a shaft which is powered by an electric motor. In this way, the SMB belt can be cleaned once or twice per week as required.

At the end of each production cycle, the manure from the scratch area can be scooped up onto the running manure belt. After removal of all the manure, the house can be wet cleaned.
