Australia poultry output up six percent
                             


Australia's poultry production has increased six percent compared to the same period last year, according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics.

 

The industry attributed the increase to the cheaper price of chicken meat compared to red meat.

 

The Australian Chicken Meat Federation's Vivian Kite said chicken meat is a booming industry, and sales in retail and fast food restaurants have increased.
