Pakistan's wheat traders await government decision on export

Wheat Traders Association of Pakistan (WTAP) is awaiting the government's decision for wheat export.

The members of WTAP said if export is carried out in a professional and efficient manner, the subsidy could be reduced substantially.

It is widely reported the current rainy season and climate changes have begun to damage the quality of wheat which was lying under inadequate storage in various parts of the country.

WTAP emphasises a flexible, mobile storage solution should be implemented - similar to Argentina, Kenya, and Sudan - when dealing with large quantities of wheat.
