CBOT grains futures show increase
Grains futures rose Wednesday (July 7) on the CBOT; wheat for September delivery jumped 23 cents to US$5.305 a bushel, while September corn climbed 10.25 cents to US$3.7825 a bushel.
November soy surged 32.5 cents to US$9.325 a bushel. Meanwhile, beef and pork futures also traded higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
August live cattle gained 0.7 cent to 90.5 cents a pound. August feeder cattle inched up 0.03 cent to US$1.1355 a pound. August lean hogs rose 0.55 cent to 80.82 cents a pound, and July pork bellies added 0.5 cent to 99 cents a pound.
