Australia researchers continue helping Tibet's dairy sector
Australian researchers are continuing work in Tibet to help improve the nutrition of dairy cattle there and increase overall milk production.
Cattle in Tibet are small and stunted due to genetics and malnutrition from low quality feed.
The Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR) project is looking at cattle reproduction, making better fodder and providing extension services to farmers.
New South Wales Department of Primary Industries agronomist Carol Rose said it is too early to tell if they are making any progress but more investment locally in the dairy industry has been made.
